The City of Rock Island, IL is located on the Mississippi River, approximately 175 miles west of Chicago. Rock Island is a major city in what is known as the Quad Cities, a region with a population approaching 400,000 that encompasses Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline, Illinois, and Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa.
Rock Island has great neighborhoods where residents feel at home. There’s a wide variety of housing in Rock Island including historic homes, downtown condos, new construction in the heart of the city, and wooded retreats.

Black Hawk State Historic Site

Watch Tower Lodge The lodge holds 250 people and is used for meetings, banquets and special events. Built from large timbers and native limestone, the lodge features beautiful wood floor, two fireplaces, and a balcony. John Hauberg Indian Museum The museum features and important collection of Sauk and Fox Indian artifacts, the last two Native American Indian nations to occupy the area. Many artifacts come directly from Black Hawk’s family and tribes connected with Black Hawk. Displayed show the daily lives of the woodland Indians through four seasons.
